I do realize that this comment will most likely not make it through the “cover-up” administration of the Dr. Drew show, but I must speak out. Maia Szalavitz said it best when she identified the problems with the Dr. Drew Show and his antics for the the primary reasons of fun and profit of his clients that many believe are victims on TheFix.com.

Drug and alcohol treatment were not meant to be a public display of repentance on prime time TV. It is meant to be between the person, his family and a trusted “adviser.” Given that Dr.Drew has publicly admitted that Lindsay Lohan’s parents should “plant drugs” in her car, Dr. Drew is not a “trusted advisor,” he is a sensationalist. Blaming the victim of his profit driven shows are very easy to do. The fact is his show has a 13% mortality rate. Of course I also realize that this blog will be in denial and refuse to publish this.

must really be stigmatized throwaway people in this old USA. A doctor in any other specialty would loose his liscence and probably be in prison if they practiced such abuse and quackery with such a high death toll.

The only time 2+2=5 is when someone stomps your face until you actually believe it does.

My question is... are the likes of Dr. Drew and such professional disinfo artists or do they not know they are mislead and misleading?

Dr. Dale Archer is a Dr. Drew wanna-be in training. Actually Dr. Archer which is trying to blame the victim in his posing on DrDrew.com has more credentials than Dr. Drew and has actually worked as a prison psychologist recruiting criminals for Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous to go to meetings where children daycare and events are held regularity (i.e. Churches).

Well as can be seen by the lack of allowing postings in this article Mr. Archer, most people disagree with your assessment of this situation of Dr. Drew publicly humiliating addicts and alcoholics for fun and profit. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Drew Pinsky how much did it take to trade your doctor's soul for the trappings of fame and ratings? You know Drew Pinsky, how much money did it take for you to violate your dr's oath of " first do no harm"?

You are a supposed doctor of medicine, a real doctor yet why do you favor god as a treatment instead of science based proven treatment for alcoholics and addicted people. Your quackery is killing people- thank you for exposing the fraud that is the faith based treatment methodology. Drew Pinsky please wake up from your money grubbing coma.

It does not surprise me that Archer plays the victim blame game. This is the epitome of AA law ,that if a person in crisis dies it is because they did not work the faith based methodology of any 12 step recovery program . The steps have their own built in not my fault clause, it is the dead victims fault because everyone knows 'it works if you work it' and obviously the victim did not work it .

It is disgusting and sickening that these people use this dogma to rationalize away all liability in Mindy's unfortunate demise. Rather than acknowledge that "celeb rehab" created a problem, a stigma that was due to the humilulating fashion that Mindy was treated by celab rehab and their staff as she was allowed to go into seizures, her dignity shattered as celeb rehab nationally televised these seizures to boost the shows ratings . As a result of this traumatizing treatment, which in reality was really medically negligent treatment, she developed a stigma or phobia of asking for and getting assistance when she was in crisis. The show created a stigma and fear of asking for help. The show shattered her dignity and she never got the assistance from 'celeb rehab' to get it back. The end result she was unable to ask for help when she needed it the most.

It doesn't take a weatherman to tell you which way the wind is blowing.

Drew Pinsky, Archer, Forest are criminals of the worst kind and it is disgusting and so freaking sad that they play the 'blame the victim' card that is born of the faith based escape liability at all cost mentality. The old not my fault that they are dead because the victim didn't believe enough . It is just sickening .

Forest is prepping the masses - that sure- there are going to be many ,many more deaths. He is correct if these charlatans of- faith based -recovery quackery do not change their ways and don't stop exploiting human beings in crisis for television rating ,fame and money. Sure science based proven recovery treatment is not as seizing and ratable as faith based lunacy, though it saves lives.

In my book celeb rehab is criminally liable for being medically negligent using the holy ghost to cure addicts and alcoholics, what quackery and violation of the hippocratic oath - of first do no harm.

No it does not surprise me that these men back pedal from all responsibility from this preventable tragic death by blaming the victim. I guess the money that the faith based recovery industry makes is worth far more than the collateral damage that it does, death. Bob Forest is correct many more are going to die, until this lunacy changes and science based proven recovery treatment is the norm of the day instead of the quackery that exists to this day .

solitary confinement,bars,gang rapes,stabbings we can force these subhumans=criminals to change.
Once saw Tv show about Canadian Prisons and how recidivism was maybe 30% as opposed to 75%+ in USA. Thye actually gave humane treatment ,rehab,education,half/ways houses and by seeing possibilty of having a good life,job,home these "criminals "were changed.Sorry,but Prem is now giving Knowledge/ experience of self/inner peace topeople in prisons.Thye are happy to have this experience. I am not in prison{except my mind,anger,pain,rage,fear,sadness},but these guys in prison are having an experience of light,inner music,feeling energy and water liquid energy inside.And inside of prison they are having an exeprience of peace.
