This sounds like a really good book. Talk about failure to separate church and state!

Take Jessie, an alcoholic woman who was court-ordered to attend rehab or go to jail, after a drunk-driving conviction. Three days before finishing the rehab program, the police came for her. The rehab had kicked Jessie out, claiming she’d “failed to accept a higher power” (step two). Freedom of religion was apparently not a valid excuse.

"Tradition 10 - Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy." Please follow orders from the Interchurch Center if you are an AA member and don't comment.

Sounds like a good read. I was jut critiquing the steppers tradition 2. According to that tradition steppers should not be in any professional treatment positions even as lay counsilers. I positivly laughed at the Billshit story that goes with trad 2 in light of the AA near monopoly of addiction rehab in the USA. What a bunch of lying hypocrites stepper evangilist are.
