Definitely all of the above. The Multi-level Marketing (MLM) of Alcoholics Anonymous is smaller than AVON, AMWAY or Herbalife, But those con man schemes don't seem to kill their victims.

Like Chuck Deidrich and other
Like Chuck Deidrich and other cult leaders, they all want to be God. I believe it is a mix of the bunch, but they're people who want to control and manipulate vulnerable people
