Alcoholics Anonymous in Fresno, California has won the bid to hold the 41st All California Young people in Alcoholics Anonymous (ACYPAA) event March 14-17, 2013. Located at the county seat of Fresno county which is the 5th largest city in California, this years event is scheduled to train young AA members how to identify, stalk and convert the younger prospects for Alcoholics Anonymous. The prospect hunting training sessions are going to be held at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, 2233 Ventura Street, Fresno, California 9372. The planning committee for this event will be held the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every Month at Bethany Mennonite Brethren Church, 9161 North Maple Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720-1406 at 1:00 pm until the event takes place in AA General Service Area 7, District 43. Pre-registration is $15 with the banquet costing $30 and the hotel rooms and additional food costs are not included.
As is normal in the events taking place in Alcoholics Anonymous, there are no safeguards put in place to make sure that the "anonymous" members of this committee are allowed to be around children, were recruited from jails or prisons, were mandated to AA by a parole, probation or court order and appears to be open to any and all of these groups. Normally there is no security at these events where older members of Alcoholics Anonymous take young vulnerable teenagers under their care to embrace the "if you want what we have" mantra and teach these newcomers how to prospect hunt for new members. Attendance at the event appears to be open to both Al-Anon and Alcoholics Anonymous non-professional trainers in the art of having your teen confessing all their sins and for those children not quite ready for conversion to the AA faith, childcare is available.

Massive, careful and write
Massive, careful and write your words carefully, young people do read this forum. You are prone to exaggerating and fabricating events. Which is a mild way of saying you lie at times. IMO.
Thanks.

Will you be attending the ACYPAA event LisaMarie/Danny B?
Very Spiritual of you. Are you the type of person who would be helping to put this event on? Why would an old man want to attend a training session for young vulnerable teens in California Northern Interior
General Service Area 7? Do they know about the criminals recruited from jails, prisons, courts, probation and parole departments to help run these events?
To make sure they cover all of the outlets for criminals they use the Pacific Region AA Service Assembly (PRASSA) which is an annual meeting of the 15 Areas located within the 9 Western States of the Pacific Region to make sure they funnel all they can find. During this meeting they plan on how to make sure the whole area is aware of these teen indoctrination meetings and where they can try and find older people to promote them.

So this went down a week and a half ago . . .
. . . and the kids came back all aglow, and yelling.
Does anyone know if there were any arrests or other such incidents? Anything make the Fresno police blotters? What about a post-mortem from the poor sods on the hotel staff?

And the winner for the 2014 XLII ACYPAA Bidding is Redding, CA
After a grueling bidding process where Alcoholics Anonymous members explain why they should be the ones to manipulate young newcomers to AA first, Redding, California will be hosting the 2014 XLII ACYPAA. The decision of who won the contest was made Saturday, March 16, 2013 after each AA group put on a skit why they should be chosen. A closed meeting was then held where it was decided who the winner was and the losers notified. The Passing of the ACYPAA banner then took place Sunday, March 17, 2013 - Source: http://acypaa.org/bidding/
