NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -A young woman claims she was molested while attending a substance abuse meeting in Nashville.
The girl, who is a minor, told her mother 32-year-old Jeremy Bartles grabbed her breast a month ago, and made another attempt to touch her again Sunday.
Bartles is now charged with sexual battery and is in jail on $20,000 bond.

Man charged with groping girl at AA meeting

Jeremy Bartles, 32, was arrested Sunday night. Jeremy Bartles, 32, was arrested Sunday night.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -Metro police arrested a man Sunday night after he allegedly grabbed a young girl's butt at an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting.
According to arrest affidavits, Jeremy Bartles allegedly grabbed the same minor's breasts at a meeting a month ago and her crotch at a meeting last Thursday night.
In addition, Bartles tried to grab a friend of the victim at Sunday night's meeting.
Both meetings were held at 5925 Obrien Avenue in west Nashville, according to the affidavits.
Bartles, 32, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of sexual battery.
He was booked into the Metro jail on a $20,000 bond.
Bartles has no criminal record in Nashville, police said.

A minor huh? Come one come all, any age. We'll share our experience, strength, and grope you.
The only good thing is the mother has reported this perv and his name is for all to see. Perhaps others will follow suit and report these sickos and they won't remain anonymous. In AA the pervs seem to have more rights than the victims. Members can be too scared to report these crimes or mention names and the perps feel comfortable acting out.

By publicizing this incident in an AA meeting in Tennessee
By publicizing this incident of molestation of a child in an AA meeting in Tennessee it may prevent it from happening again. The usual AA apologetic excuses will be used, but the fact that the Groups, Intergroups, Districts and Areas of Alcoholics Anonymous have been identified and they know that they are now being monitored, they will take actions to prevent this from happening (hopefully, it depends on if they want to fix the problem or just think of ways to cover it up).
If these incidents were ignored, covered up and not reported, which is what the majority of AA members do, the problems such as these would never be fixed and brainwashed AA members would just say "it doesn't happen in my group." Of course you will also have AA members trying to derail this thread with garbage. My apologies for them in advance, they don't know any better, they were brainwashed that way and hopefully they will get the help they need because AA obviously isn't doing it for them.
"Tradition 10 - Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy." Please follow orders from the Interchurch Center if you are an AA member and don't comment.

What does admitting your an alcoholic have to do with the molestation of a child by Jeremy Bartles in a Nashville AA meeting. Step one of the cult of Alcoholics Anonymous is:
"1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable."
Step one has nothing to do with preventing molestation in Alcoholics Anonymous in Tennessee by Jeremy Bartles, just like Step one of AA had nothing to do with preventing stalking in Manchester, New Hampshire in the Ex-alderman Russell P. Ouellette incident (http://orange-papers.org/forum/node/2065) or the pedophilia and child pornography of the AA Sponcees children by AA Sponsor Randolph Pozdol in Broward County AA? Orange has never said that I am unwanted, YM. In fact, JR has often posted how my presence here has increased the hits many fold. Why not go to RFR? Ben has been so kind to me there that he even told a poster that she would be in a time out if she kept bringing me up and told her if she had been wronged, she had other options. Of course, she hadn't been been. And instead of just complying and making good use of the forum, she left. What was ironic is when someone posted a link here to a Washingtop Post article, she was there, defending her right to post her opinion and how she felt. People are so funny. What they want for themselsve, they wish to limit on others.
