"Autistic advocates coined the term “neurodiversity” to express the idea that there are many types of brain wiring ...."

Sometimes, they are one in the same. There are organized advocacy groups comprised of adults with autism promoting the idea of neurodiversity and rejecting the notion that autism is something to be cured ot eradicated.

"If I forget who I am, I am myself. If I remember who I am, I am you."

"Instead of pitting abstinence against harm reduction, the neurodiversity approach recognizes that every brain is different and that what works for me may not be what works for you."

Abstinence - No drinking
Harm reduction - Less drinking

So then support diversity. Some people may choose not to drink. Some people may choose to limit drink. Best of both worlds (left brain or right brain hemispheres). LOL!
