Newt Gingrich has publicly described the value of AA in his life.

Last night on Jay Lenos show, and incidently on the couch next to Snookie, Newt describes how much he enjoys drinking heavily. Start 07:30 in the vid.

It's entertaining to see how
It's entertaining to see how OPF twists anything it can despite what a person says. I guess it is just an MO so I shouldn't take it personally. Nowhere does Newt say that he is in AA or that he is an alcoholic, just that he had benefitte from reading the material, and he said that he drink "sometimes." I think his response to Jay was in jest because people always make jokes about how jittery they are before appearing. Hilary Swank said the samething. It's called being entertaining, and there really is no reason to ReConstruct his words to mean something he didn't intend. And I am in no way a Newt fan.

The apologists for AA take advantage of the anonymity loophole
'Nowhere does Newt say that he is in AA or that he is an alcoholic, just that he had benefitte from reading the material'
A friend 'loaned/gave' these TWO particular books to him.
Yep that was just to see a new and wonderful way of life. No it had NOTHING to do with actually drinking, rather, just a good way to live a spiritual, not religious, life.
Choose which side the of fence you are on Clara, or you will be losing credibility with your fellow apologists.

I bet you want nothing to do with it
A person of his national interest publicly demonstrating the national disgrace and public failure of the AA faith.
Maybe it will not take Lyndsay Lohan running someone over before the country determines that current substance abuse treatment methods are the worst public health failure in modern history.
Perhaps society will decide that Christopher Hitchens is right, and 'Religion poisons everything' In the process they may decide that turning over what they claim is a medical issue to a religion staffed with the inmates is not really a great idea.

How do you even gather that
How do you even gather that from that he simply read a book? For many, AA is not a failure, and he isn't even in the fellowship.

Actually Dr. Morgan Poncy, the Medical Director of Sunrise Detox even got involved with the Lyndsay Lohan online debate in July 2010 in an article entitled,"Docs Warn: Lindsay Lohan’s Taking Such Dangerous Drugs, She Could Overdose Before Jail"

It would appear that "Opinions" as alkieanon would say are rampant at Sunrise Detox.

Newt Gingrich- Icon for what is wrong with Alcoholics Anonymous
Newt Gingrich did not make it to the Presidential nomination status. It is interesting that he is most like the adulterous, lying con man of the Alcoholics Anonymous indoctrination path, Bill Wilson. Newt also cheated on his wife with a younger woman at his place of work and lied about it, just like Bill Wilson.

So this is your deal, isn't it, JR Harris? This is the unforgivable, the most insulting, despicable, pain-inducing act any human being can involve himself in.
Or herself. In which case somebody gets dumped. And then that somebody can't douse the fire of acrimony no matter what he does, no matter how he tries to vent it down and articulate it through others' behaviors.
You are as transparent as the day is long. You need an internet-less vaycay, dude.

It would seem that no one is
It would seem that no one is as interested in this as you are, JR. You keep posting it and no one is taking your bait. But how about something that point to why Miss Annie got so nuts... We pointed out her own many names where she began doing just what you have done, JR. And, yes, I am a friend of Allison's and I would defend her against a controlling type of man, just as I would anyone else.

And I cannot believe how many people are defending Allison Morelli and her convoluted attempt at parenting. Relationship rage isn't really an issue when a mother, in this case Allison, is grossly negligent and her ability and willingness to throw her OWN children under the bus is sickening!
Perhaps the masses are blinded by the media's attempt to paint fathers all black and any mother, even the abusive ones, as all white.
Come on Allison - you love all the attention -- why not tell the general public and your media groupies exactly what YOU do with YOUR children on your parenting time?
There are people watching you - every stinking thing you do. Most people would at least fake it when they know they are living under a microscope. You? No, not you. How's this going to look on your next TV interview?

You don't seem to realize that she has nothing to do with your choice of behavior. The support of taking down a blog that is simply a hate vehicle has nothing to do with her parenting. No one knows anything about it but what some deranged hateful man and, more weirdly, his girlfriend... choose to post about it. Now youleave a post where you literally threaten her with stalking. She isn't living under anyone's microscope but yours. Why can't you see that the high drama person is you?

Of course I'm watching her - it's a train wreck in process, only in slow motion. My post isn't threatening her with stalking, she's now a "media personality" of her own making and my watching what she does is not different than you, cribbisque, responding to my every post.
Granted Allison has zero to do with MY choice of behaviors - my life and her life intersect only on one plane, that of a shared experience called alcoholism.
Am I interested in what she does - most certainly. Do I wish her a better outcome? Definitely! However, unless you are a party to her daily activities there is probably much that you don't know about Allison and her day-to-day struggles.
Perhaps, if you are a friend or family member of Ms. Allison's, you'd see the elephant on the table. As an internet troll (if that is indeed what you are) your position seeks to advance her cause in a very negative light.
To answer your first post, I am neither Misty nor Anthony, not wish to rear any of their children, nor those of any other person. I'd certainly divulge my identity and give you the opportunity to discuss who I am and how I know the specifics of this case if you asked.
I certainly hope my next interview isn't about the specifics of the Morelli v. Morelli case - but if it should be, it is what it is.

Take it up with becket, Clara, she is the one that takes offense to people butting into marital disputes. I also see that you claimed to have "special knowledge" about the incident because you are a trained Bill Wilson chanter. Perhaps you should take beckets advice?

I don't know what Becket's advice is, friend. I also don't care as she doesn't know the circumstances around the other posts. Neither do you, but since you have the time to read all 1000 posts the article generated, why don't we met back here at 5:00 to discuss it?

Thank you, Beck. What I find fascinating is how this otherwise thoroughly uninteresting woman has bloggers here scrambing all over the net, trying to look at anything she might post to, even manufacturing some in the process. People become "Dannys" when they behave that way.
