Zanesville man accused of cutting dog's throat
"ZANESVILLE -- A Zanesville man, who allegedly cut the throat of a dog Tuesday to get his girlfriend's attention, is facing misdemeanor charges including cruelty to a companion animal."
"Smith appeared Wednesday in front of Judge William Joseph in Muskingum County Municipal Court and pleaded not guilty to one count of cruelty to a companion animal and one count of resisting arrest, court records show. He remains in jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond."
"According to Zanesville court records, Smith has been arrested before. In 2011, Smith was arrested and charged with criminal damaging, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
He was arrested in January on a charge of disorderly conduct and was ordered to attend three AA meetings per week. He is scheduled for a hearing for that case Sept. 6."

These are the kinds of people you may come across in AA meetings. This man may be sitting next to you, or a loved one and allowed to bask anonymously among the young, the sick, and the vulnerable. There is absolutely nobody in authority watching over members and ensuring safety.

Not only was Justin C. Smith, 32 sentenced to attend Alcoholics Anonymous by a judge, he is welcomed to "keep coming back". He can lie, claim years of sobriety and preach serenity to those seaking help. Perhaps become a sponsor. This all accepted by society and the recovery world as "normal". It is absurd that this continues and members time and again become victimized by their encounters when seeking help in the program. AA.org ignores the claims of members that have been harmed! They care not about any members only about continued attendance and the sale of their awful literature. Money and control is all they care about. I hope that become aware of the infiltration of criminals in the rooms by invites of AA and sentencing by the court, and that AA can be unsafe!!

It works! ...... If you put
It works! ...... If you put yourself at risk with people you don't know. That may be a sexual predator, violent offender, financial scammer, anonymous and controlling - invited by AA as they solicit prisons. Also sent by the courts for their various offenses.

"Tradition 10 - Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy." Please follow orders from the Interchurch Center if you are an AA member and don't comment.
