What is "Activism" in relation to Alcoholics Anonymous?

Recently, members of the AA faith suffering from a low IQ and the debilitating disease of Steppism caused by the Stockholm Syndrome of the constant repetition of the 12 Steps of the occultist Bill Wilson have been trying to rewrite the definition of "activism." These mental geniuses are claiming that a person is not an "activist" if they blog, write letters, picket , make radio shows or even make a documentary film on the subject. In a nutshell, they are obviously delusional and wrong, because that is exactly the definition. They are also following in the footsteps of the delusional, wet brained, psychedelic chemically induced ramblings of Bill Wilson and trying to rewrite the definitions of words.

Readers Digest version

Activism consists of intentional efforts to promote, impede or direct social, political, economic, or environmental change. Activism can take a wide range of forms from writing letters to newspapers or politicians, political campaigning, economic activism such as boycotts or preferentially patronizing businesses, rallies, street marches, strikes, sit-ins, and hunger strikes.

Did they provide their definition of activism, or just say what it was not?

The article was making a new definition of slacktivism. Sort of like steppism. LOL! And then comparing apples to oranges.

What is "Activism" in relation to Orange Papers Forum? That is the real question.

Too busy nit-picking on AA, that everything else withers on the vine.

We have had skewed definitions of activism from steppers on this forum. As with so many other subjects, they skew & twist the truth regarding activism, it's not activism to be on this forum, or to discuss AA's dangers, or to make a film, or write letters or consumer report to others, etc. etc. It's only activism if they SAY SO. AA is a anecdotal SAY SO CULT, cause Wilson said so, cause Buchman said so, cause steppers say so. Truth & & AA SAY SO world are not acquainted & have nothing to do with one another.

This forum needs a glossary of terms so that when a topic is addressed everyone understands what is being said. There are twenty +/- different interpretations of alcoholism, dependence, truth, disease, even AA itself. Example: "AA is a anecdotal SAY SO CULT." What on earth does this mean and how does one respond to it? Who's up for developing a glossary? Anyone?

This would be a careful and earnest undertaking, not some cheap-shot opportunity.

Reading this forum, the OP and the ST archives over the past month has helped me realize that I'm not alone in my doubts. I farewelled my group a few nights ago.
