The record holder for comments on a blog here in 2012 is a blog on March 3; it had 558 comments. The topic was about all the trolls on this site, specifically naming two people. People that merely shared different views from what this site preaches. As such, they were targeted and gleefully hated on.

Second biggest in 2012? May 15, it was a very negative anti-A.A. blog. Again, hate mongers gathered in glee. Anybody opposing that view . . . targeted and hated on. Totaled 555 comments.

3rd was a blog I posted, July 7. Basically pointing out the fallacious anti filled arguments people had against A.A. I had just heard about this site a couple of days prior. Again, people gathered with gleeful hate. 446 comments. Since then the largest commented blog (209 comments) is about how I deleted my comments; much name calling, hate spewing, etc. towards me. I quickly realized that there is no logic here, merely A.A. hate.

I came here because I was hoping to receive positive alternative view(s). I understand A.A. is not perfect nor, is it for everybody. I say to each their own, whatever can keep you happy and sober. However, the major view here is not so open. It is merely negative anti-A.A. Anything which supports any anti-A.A. view keeps the cogs on this site greased and going. Anything in contradiction is viewed as cancer with blinded and unquestioned prejudice, regardless of the logic; and then there's the childish name calling: steppers, Wilsonites, the cult, etc.

Most have vowed to ignore me now. Which has made my visits here much more pleasant. I was seriously considering not even visiting; but it does contain an occasional good alternative view and much entertainment from the senseless logic, more than anything.

Yes, you do post under a Gunthar handle over there, but I would never have looked on Craigslist forum at all for a recovery group without your link. It was removed after I posted about it here on OPF. Others remembered seeing it.

You do not allow this site to be about the dangers & truthful exposures regarding aa's miserable failure rates & the many people harmed by the cult. Is there every a moment or second of truthful clarity regarding self? Is there every even a second when you are not self deceptive & truthfully admit to yourself that you are a hypocrite & just do not practice what you preach? It must be that 'Aha!' moment when it all comes together and makes sense. Like when the economy crashed in 08. Before that you couldn't figure out how house prices could possibly be that high. Who could afford them? Aha! You see all the foreclosure signs and it all makes sense again.
I still love to keep up with the letters, and it amazes me when reading a deluded stepper letter you hear so much propaganda and superstition, or how angry or resentful Orange must be. The response Orange gives usually makes so much more sense, and it matches my experience with what AA 'REALLY' is.
And lets face it, even our trolls can't get away from here and just leave us be. They all claim how innocent they were coming here to find "other ways", but all they found is "hate". Yet none of them leave. They belong here with us, far, far away from any AA group. They are now ours, forever an example of being a 'lost soul'.

I didn't come here looking for "another way". I had heard about the OPF and wanted to read it for myself. It was painted as a toxic environment - not just to AA but to critical thinking and independence.

becket is there someone in your life holding a gun to your head to come to this forum daily? Why are you on this forum many times each day? Isn't this site for the purpose of deprogramming from aa brain washing? And for the purpose of avoiding aa's ineffectiveness & brain washing? I wonder if you could explain logically why you continue to participate daily on this forum if you consider it a toxic environment without critical thinking & independence? You have so many options & alternatives but you continue to chose this forum & try to control the members with the aa tactics of belittling their character defects & attacking anyone personally with a different opinion than yours regarding aa. So simple question if you consider this forum toxic & without critical thinking or independence why do you post on it daily & why do you read other members posts daily & then attack, criticize & belittle daily? Why don't you join a book club or take a writing course or join a garden club etc. etc., etc.? I already know that Mensa is not an option for you to join but isn't there some other type of social interaction for you that isn't toxic to you?
