It's been very interesting to read these posts as I know Gunthar from another forum, where he is even worse mannered towards AAs than he is here. I am rather surprised to see the addition of the SMART program because he's always promoted Naltrexone as his savior from alcohol. Despite my own success with AA, it doesn't work for a friend of mine, and I recommended he check into Naltrexone and consult with his doctor about it. Since I live in a border town and cross into Mexico for more favorably priced medications, I had posted on the blog that I would be willing to get Naltrexone for my friend, who is also uninsured, if my friend's doctor was on board with it. Naltrexone is not a stand alone therapy and is to be used in conjunction with counseling or a support group, hence, Gunthar's involvment with SMART.

Instead of getting kudos for doing as most AAs do (recognizing that there is more than one path to sobriety) and offering the information to someone that might benefit, Guthar turned about face and ridiculed my interest. I have discoverd principles before personalities to be a good thing long before I ever joined AA, but this man would rather take BACK his positive message than to ever agree with an AA on anything.

I am glad that he promoted this site on *****edited*****, where he led a call to arms so that the members there could come and "set these people straight." It's primarily an anti-AA site. I notice only one did, Rainbow, who now claims that she owes her sobriety to Naltrexone, too. How funny. She's never mentioned it before. But due to this site, I discovered that Gunthar has a very good military record, is an atheist and apparently a homophobic, and that he tweaks his information to suit his audience. Given his attacks on me in another forum and the lengths he goes to to abuse women, this was actually a site that bordered on theraputic for me. Thank you, Gunthar!

You sure get roasted over there! No wonder you blogged for help. I was taken aback by the homophobic remarks and the link between them and atheism. I was quite pleased with your very good military record. Thank you for your service.

Also, why would you edit out recoveringfromrecovery.com? People link to it here often. You linked the craigslist site to it, so why is there an issue? These are public forums.

YES! We are going! And talk about a wonderful sense of timing. We went to Cloudcroft a couple of weeks ago and thought how nice WSNM would be in a full moon. We went to a meeting and this was announced. In fact, I posted about it because I wondered what bikers take to a potluck...

Hey, he invited people to that blog. Why deny it or blame someone for going? And it is a pro-AA site, so I guess I should turn all of his questions back to him.

It's true, Gunthar. Let me ask you this...

Do you think it is ever correct for a person to offer to help someone in a 12 step program when (s)he has an ulterior motive to disclose your vulnerabilities because the real objective is to help someone keep a website? If someone had a sponsor that was doing that, would it be up to someone to both tell the sponsee and tell the sponsor how inappropriate or wrong it is? After all I have read on this forum about negligent or negative sponsorship and how harmed people were from it, I am surprised not to get an "atta girl" from you. If someone came to this forum and described a sponsorship relationship where the person set you up to secretly help some custody issue, everyone would be clawing at the keyboards to post about how wrong that is and how there should be a pamphlet on the subject.

It always included professional supervision and was simply a means to get the script at a better price for an uninsured person.

She chased me because she is on the oponent's side. She is also an AA member that tried to lure Allison into being a sponsee so she could share with the other side. It's pretty reprehensible, PIE, by anyone's standards.

I am not afraid to blog, but I am not the one that has disclosed real names. I said early on when JR tried to out the last name of Moorman ("Try to be More of a Man") that I wasn't blogging under my real name. Nor is anyone obligated to... I am not the one that outed my real name or did any of the additional things that weren't necessary but that even you feel justified in participating in... Who was that, now?

I also don't have a problem discussing the realities of my life, PIE. But please don't make it out as if I was ever treated politely or with the respect that C&E suggests. When I first got here, I was assailed because everyone thought I was Marietta, for the most part. Then, there was still oblnoxious posting toward me because I am not an Anti-AA. JR was looking for info on the net about me from the moment I got here. Look at all the posting he does about activities in whatever I have lived or even attempt to connect me toplaces miles away, such as Folly Beach AA.

But I would be the first one to admit that I went to the Craigslist site because Gunthar's original link had been removed, and he was challenging me on it. Lo ahd behold, who was there? The very guy asking for the reinforcements from RFR.com that he tried to deny having anything to do with... It's just an FYI, but I went back last night after all of his disclosures, and I never found a post that revealed the personal family information he shared on this forum. And for a guy that hates AA, why would he share that with them? A cyncial part of me thinks that it was created as a sympathy move because his forum on me backfired. After all, if he was laughing for four hours about what he stirred up, why would he be so angry?

None of it makes sense.

But Gunthar should be happy! He's said for months that I should check into an AA site. It points to hypocrisy, though. Why can he be there while AAs cannot be here?

Not true at all. I never specifically set out to garner attention for myself, but when it wouldn't go away, why not play with it? Still, that wasn't me bringing over my remarks from other blogs. That was Gunthar, yourself, JR, and Anti, who first revealed my blog name on HuffPo when she linked us to Laura Tompkin's article on AA. Of course, what also gets revealed is that these people too spend alot of time blogging. So while you are doling out blame, be sure to divvy some up for yourself.

As for Allison, I got a new alert from HuffPo regarding Anthony's site. He had been on the news the night before, and I had seen it, so I clicked on the alert and read about it. I also blogged. He has a site that linked to several other blogs as he was anxious to get the word out about how his first amendment rights were being trampled and he was angry at Matt Lauer. His blog also asked for money. He was also upset that, in turn, Allison was interviewed for her input and that people sympathized/empathized. Because of her AA affiliation, it also ended up on AA boards. If you read the Phillyburbs, you can see the lengths that Annie went to (under three names) to use the fellowship adversely. It was sad. Anth's original blog was about his ex-wife, that he tries to sell legal advice although he isn't a lawyer (and the girlfriend was convicted of that in NC), and it served as a hate vehicle. Allison had asked the court that it be taken down, and the judge closed it. But Anth needs it as it is how he supports himself. Selling legal advice to you for 29.99 and monthly subs to a hate site.

But Allison has continued to win her motions. The oral arguments were heard July 21.

If you noticed, she is one of my friends on f/b.

I also don't understand your last quip. "More of a Man" is what JR put on OPF to signal to me that he knew the last name associated with this account. The names have no direct association with anything. I also posted that at the time he did it.

Of course. Why should I go back and change an established blog name? And I didn't try to press charges. I did. Thank you for bringing that to the forum, PIE, because it brings up a good topic.

When I saw Ben's "hardihar har har" post from yesterday and how much it contrasted with Gunthar's public anger when his coup turned out not to be such... I remember thinking how bipolar those two seemed. I mean, you don't spend four hours laughing at a movie. You DO spend four hours working someone down.

This delightful man was my first experience with bipolar disorder. I didn't understand it at all and there were few resources. He said it was depression, but later disclosed an altogether different condition. If you noticed, he is on my facebook and travels all over the world in the marine business. He is a true example of the benefits the medical and science communities and how a person can manage mental illness. He's had some bumps along the way, a suicide mother and an abusive father, but he has used what is available and willingly accepted something that he had previously fought for a long time. I am proud for him for his diligence and achievements.

But, no, I am not blaming, but I am not accepting responsibility for your decisions or those of others. You don't have to respond or read my posts, or search me out on the web. But you do and then blame me for it.

No one was watching you for a full 4 hours - you're not that important...lol. It wasn't just myself and Gunthar. When we have Skype sessions they are conference calls with people coming in and out all of the time. Whenever someone sees something funny on the OP they post a link and we go over and have a laugh - mainly at you and Danny, but bucket scores a few hits too...lol

There are always at least 4 people on there - we've even had 10 on there at once. The thought that anyone would waste 4 hours putting you down is laughable...lol. I repeat - you're not that important, by a long way...lol

No one was chasing her tail, Gunth. I had fun, too. But it is true. It wouldn't have happened without your instigation. I am at home, too, and I have an online site. I also blog for a couple of hours a day. More if the situation calls for it.

Remember too that when I first got here, I introduced myself as retired and somehwat homebound because I had an ill dog. So, I guess I don't understand why your being disabled makes it perfectly permissible for you do something you should never have to explain... while the same standard doesn't apply to Clara.
