Orange-Papers 2012, a telling synopsis for the newbs.
published by First-Things-First on Sun, 08/05/2012 - 08:19
The record holder for comments on a blog here in 2012 is a blog on March 3; it had 558 comments. The topic was about all the trolls on this site, specifically naming two people. People that merely shared different views from what this site preaches. As such, they were targeted and gleefully hated on.
Second biggest in 2012? May 15, it was a very negative anti-A.A. blog. Again, hate mongers gathered in glee. Anybody opposing that view . . . targeted and hated on. Totaled 555 comments.
3rd was a blog I posted, July 7. Basically pointing out the fallacious anti filled arguments people had against A.A. I had just heard about this site a couple of days prior. Again, people gathered with gleeful hate. 446 comments. Since then the largest commented blog (209 comments) is about how I deleted my comments; much name calling, hate spewing, etc. towards me. I quickly realized that there is no logic here, merely A.A. hate.
I came here because I was hoping to receive positive alternative view(s). I understand A.A. is not perfect nor, is it for everybody. I say to each their own, whatever can keep you happy and sober. However, the major view here is not so open. It is merely negative anti-A.A. Anything which supports any anti-A.A. view keeps the cogs on this site greased and going. Anything in contradiction is viewed as cancer with blinded and unquestioned prejudice, regardless of the logic; and then there's the childish name calling: steppers, Wilsonites, the cult, etc.
Most have vowed to ignore me now. Which has made my visits here much more pleasant. I was seriously considering not even visiting; but it does contain an occasional good alternative view and much entertainment from the senseless logic, more than anything.
Just a little informative. Have a nice day : )

JR Harris, is stalking and harassing another member again. This time it is a member by the name of First Things First. All one has to do is read throughout this site and you will be able to see the amount of stalking and harassment JR Harris does to members that do not agree with what he believes. The owner of this site Orange, doesn't even behave like JR Harris does.
A "narcissist" would not delete his own posts. You are incorrectly using the term again. First Things First has made an excellent and telling point about the prevailing attitude on this site. You don't need to try to defend the behaviors of the AA haters, JR Harris, because they are indefensible.

Yes & First things First did more for this anti AA forum by deleting his posts. First things first represented the typical stepper emotional state scared & worried that he may have written words that could have harmed the AA cult. Deleting his posts was cold hard evidence of how First things first lives in stepper terror & lacks adult characteristics such as being his own person & having the ability to stand by his words & lacking any courage or fortitude whatsoever & being a coward. Typical stepper. This is exactly what AA does to its members being told what to think, feel, act & do results in self doubt, not being your own person, not standing on your own & regressing into a childish coward. Too late, he is copied & pasted all over the forum & in the few days he was here many people particularly current AA members starting to deprogram read FTF's insanity & cult speak & validating words that AA is an insane environment & that steppers left their minds & mental & emotional health in the rooms. FTF validated that AA is not what we want & validated to the wavering AA members that getting out for good will be a healthy & sane decision & choice.
The absolute most priceless thing that FTF shared was that he is not sober & that AA did not work for him! LOL. Simultaneously a devout & brain washed true believer stepper & a drunk! FTF sure validated that AA is ineffective @ helping quit an addiction but is proficient @ brain washing that small 3-5 % that buy into the billshit once in a while. That he is not sober was copied & pasted onto this forum. Priceless!
True Patti, according to First T-F ,AA works! But not for him and not in years. Hmm, something wrong with that picture. He just can't get sober using the serene program to which he spread around this forum. Must be opposite week here, I see no humility or "love" in his posts...Oh, and he's definitely using an alias, I've seen his trolling style before. Good job Patti you have been tearing through their billshit real well :-)
I thought I understood FTF to say that the problem staying sober was on his end, not on AA's end. That fits well with the "it's a personal choice, we are not powerless" bit, does it not? Maybe he's just made a choice to drink intermittently. That's another thing that is highly supported on this forum, the theory that alcohol-dependent people can stop drinking and then drink with absolute control. This, too, would indicate supremacy over powerlessness. So what are you grousing about?
“The essence of the independent mind lies not in what it thinks, but in how it thinks.”
― Christopher Hitchens, Letters to a Young Contrarian
The fact that if you are a stepper, you don't believe that you can drink with absolute control. That goes against everything AA stands for. Since FTF is clearly a stepper, he calls himself "dry," that shows that he doesn't believe that he has control, he believes that it is a matter of time before he loses control again.
There's nothing wrong with believing you can drink successfully, but this dude doesn't believe that. He believes that he is powerless.

Ironic can we get an itemized list that explains what exactly is a stepper? What constitutes "dry"? Finally, please let us all know how you can be such an expert on FTF?
Why does that matter to you? It seems there would be things more important and more pressing in your world than that. You read like a tattling four-year-old.

I believe that First-Things-First was talked too by his Sponsor or another grand wizard of the Alcoholics Anonymous faith and told to knock it off. It may have even reached its AA Intergroup level. It is very doubtful that it reached the Interchurch level on 475 Riverside Drive in New York and appears he was handled by mid-level managers of the cult.

The insanity isn't general insanity, LFOD. I can certainly look back and see that my alcoholic behavior wasn't normal in any sense of the word. As I pointed out to Penny in an earlier post, I doubt I would have met the legal standard for mental defect or would have been diagnosed as crazy by a clinician, but to continue in a lifestyle that was clearly so compromising WAS insane.
And most of us did it in some form and didn't see anything wrong with it until we got out of it.
Hope things are going good for you. You do have a great sense of humour. Nice to see you although I rarely frequent here, I remember you being kind to me a few months back. Thanks for that.
