Alcoholic Foundation (AA) to Herbert Wallace - Season 4, Episode 7 - 2006 - Many of the names on the September 29, 1942 letter signed by Bill Wilson, the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous to Herbert Wallace are familiar. Horace Chrystal, Bert Taylor and Bobbie Berger are known to have been early members of this secret society that has grown into the multi-billion dollar rip-off of Insurance companies and raider of college and retirement funds. Who was Herbert Wallace? The History Detectives take on the case and as usual explore the history of the cult of Alcoholics Anonymous, without doing any real research. The Interview is the usual "millions of people have been saved" party line of the recovery industry cartel who thrive on sending people into 28 day $28,000 rehab stays to learn the rituals and ceremonies of the drunk that started a cult that he even admits was helped out by out of body Spiritual experiences that helped him formulate "The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions" by a dead 15th century monk using a Ouija board.

The entire show is a propaganda piece for Alcoholics Anonymous and does not delve into who Herbert Wallace was, or his real interest or work in the secret society. My guess is that it was a flowery letter sent by Wilson to Herbert hoping he would donate money to the society to fund his adulterous lifestyle of womanizing, not working and paying for the Stepping Stones compound in Westchester County, New York that he had just conned another member of that society, the widow Helen Griffith, to give him at 1/4 of its worth and hold the note while the Alcoholic Foundation paid for it.
