Rattlesnake in the driveway. Decapitated it with a shovel; seemed most expedient measure and means -- capture and relocation dicey; simply ignore unconscionable; kiss and cuddle plain crazy. So killed it and tossed its bisected corpse in a thicket of seep willow in a ditch across the way. What's any of this to do with blustery weather on Jupiter? Nothing, thus I feel terrible.

I am not certain that I have it in me to try to "capture and release" a rattlesnake. I don't know if Billy was in danger or if a pet was, but he feels badly enough about it. My opinion doesn't matter, NoAA. Ask me after I have had a similar experience. And I could. We live in the same part of the country.

NoAA, I really don't know what part of England you live in, but in the American SW, rattesnakes are considered very dangerous. While they do not carry shovels, they are in fact armed. I don't fault someone for their fear.

I was in flip flops when called out, and the shovel was handy, didn't mess around -- did the deed lickety split. Alternatives weren't really that cumbersome (as afterthought), and when the poor thing squirmed at first touch of steel, then with the writhing death throes and squirting snake blood, I felt like absolute shit. Life tends to suck anyway you live it, unless its unquestioningly. What do you imagine snake consciousness is like -- do snakes wonder?

I think the governments want to get as many people as possible addicted to as many substances as possible because they control the drug and alcohol trade and it's big business. They also control poppy fields in Afghanistan and other locations. The War on Drugs is a hoax. It's all about making money. The prison system is big business, too, and they run that. Everything is about money. Everything.

Plus, the more people who are addicted to more and more substances, including substances distributed by Big Pharma (which is also controlled by the govt), the more "out of it" and unaware the population becomes, the more oppressed the population can become, and their political agenda of corporatism (possibly fascism) can creep right in and take over while most everybody doesn't even notice because they're all doped up.

Yes. Cost money to create it. Canvases and paint are expensive. Framing is expensive. VERY. Cost money to show it. Entry fees, etc. Cost money to promote it. Lots of money. Postcards, flyers, event posters, ads, website hosting, etc. Most artists want to sell it = money, so they can make a living doing what they love.

What am I doing back here? Beats me. My prerogative. I felt like it. What are you doing trying to argue with me? Just because the title of the thread is about arguing, you think that's OK?

ALL forms of art cost money to create and promote. Well, you could make art from discarded items from a junkyard (and I LOVE that type of art using recycled materials), but still, if you're at all interested in selling it, you need to promote it and promotion isn't free. *shrug*

Everything... yes EVERYthing has some connection to money.

Personally, I'm not a fan of money, which may be why I don't have any. The world runs on GREED. I hate hatred but I truly hate greed.

I've had no luck finding a sponsor but maybe one day, I'll find one. I create art because I LOVE to and I have to because it's part of my being, it's part of who I am. It still costs me money to do it and I rarely sell any of it.

But if you want to debate whether money rules the world, you're on. I'll take on that debate with you, even though I know that you sometimes use tools of belittlement and degrading words to try to "WIN" an argument. For your information, those types of uses of verbiage don't work with me and actually make you look quite ill informed.

But at any rate, if you'd like to debate the fact that the world is run on money and greed, I'll do it with you. Just keep your personal attacks underneath your tongue because I'm not interested in hearing them.
