The "Mentalist" Season 3 Episode 10 - Patrick goes undercover at an AA meeting to uncover Narcissists preying on unsuspecting - The Mentalist TV Show portrays the ability of some people to manipulate others. Using this ability a former "psychic" named "Patrick" goes undercover to go on the hunt for a female AA member paid for by a high priced "rehab" to cruise AA meetings looking for new prospects to talk them into going to a rehab practicing "voodoo" medicine of questionable value tied to call girls as marketing professionals and the president of National Society of Authentic Santas. This show combines all of the problems with the cult of Alcoholics Anonymous, greed, sex and voodoo magic being passed off as "treatment." Patrick also allows himself to be captured by the cult and ends up in shock treatment at the rehab! When he is discovered, they attempt to "kill" him with an overdose of alcohol for the good of the cause.
