"The Crime" as Anti's say. Was it a crime? Does AA own the copyrights?

The individual in Germany and the group he belongs to had translated and printed A.A.'s basic text into their native tongue. They printed first 164 pages of the original text, now in the public domain due to the lapse of the copyright. Their purpose was to carry the message of recovery in accordance with A.A.'s 5th Tradition: "Each Alcoholics Anonymous group ought to be a spiritual entity having but one primary purpose - that of carrying its message to the alcoholic who still suffers." (Long Form)

These little blue books were being distributed at no charge to A.A. members at no charge. They were given away to members as well as in treatment centers, jails and prisons. Now, due to personally punitive legal measures initiated by the General Service Office in Germany (AAeV) and Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc. in New York City (AAWS) this carrying the message of recovery may have to cease.

The individual in Germany has been taken to court by AAeV and AAWS not only to stop both him and the A.A. Group he belongs to from printing and distributing literature in the public domain, but to, in effect, throw him out of Alcoholics Anonymous.

The legal action demands that this A.A. member in Germany no longer purchase, lend, own or give away ANY literature related to recovery. This includes all A.A. literature, and literature relating to recovery from alcoholism by any other publisher. He cannot give a newcomer a Big Book, go on Twelve Step calls with any literature, or have in his possession A.A.'s basic text."

WW II is generally thought to have begun 1 September 1939. Although the Big Book was also published in 1939, the program of AA, and the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, were inspired by the Oxford Group, which was in existence by 1931.

In the 12 x 12 contents page, con man and thieving sexual predator wilson or whichever other stepper deviant wrote it, says that the life of our fellowship depends upon the principle that AA has but one primary purpose, to carry its message to the alcoholic that still suffers.

They then go on to say that the ability of each stepper to identify himself with and bring recovery for the newcomer is a gift from God, passing on this gift to others is our one aim. Sobriety can't be kept unless it is given away.

What total fukin arrogance, that a cult significantly full of control freaks and sexual predators could possibly claim to possess a 'gift from God' And such a cult that has no more proven success rate than 'no treatment at all'

You people really are unbelievable, how anybody outside of your cult can possibly take you seriously is beyond me, all I can think of is that most people, in the UK at least, have absolutely NO idea of what you are about and the ludicrous claims that you make in your nonsensical literature, notably the BB and 12 & 12

They don't mention any of that shit about a so called 'gift from God' on Coronation Street when some self serving stepper script writer is trying to save their own worthless skin by trying to con British Problem drinkers (and now gamblers) into your lying, fearmonger death cult. This is deceptive recruitment on a natoinal scale. Lets be honest, if you told them the truth about AA, people would think Coronation Street was a comedy show.....gifts from God LOL

Any UK professional counsellor who tells people that steppers have a ‘gift from God to bring recovery to newcomers’ has got to be liable for professional negligence, under the Tort of Negligence (apparently the most significant tort of modern times). I’m no lawyer but Professional Counsellors surely have a duty of care to service users, and that 'duty of care' must involve NOT recruiting members for a cult, known to be full of all kinds of predators

I think it means that "if I can wind you up enough, by spouting cult BS you will get ANGRY and relapse."

Steppers have never got it right in their pea size brains that, most people drink or take drugs, because they find pleasure in it, but for some it gets out of control. They have some mistaken idea that RESENTMENT, ANGER AND EGO causes alcohol \drug problems........what cult crap

If they have no understanding whatsoever of the causes of the problem, how can they possibly claim to have the 'one cap fits all' answer to all the worlds problems.......given to a bunch of sicko's.......from God LOL
