Orange pamphlets (op1)

What do youse reckon about organiseing a easily downloadable pamphlet & storing it somwhere on this forum? One that could be presented or slipped in anywhere. eg 12 things you should know about A.A ect I don't know the first thing about how to create such god given,higher power inspired tool but I'd sure like to use 'em if they where advailable. I'd even take 'em off to the local printers & get 'em put on pretty orange paper, real look alike mock ups 'ud be best.

I think anything downloadable where you could summarise key Anti AA points could become very useful. Especially for an organised coordinated campaign against AA.

We ought to have some form of multinational pamphlet. I'm not sure of the extent of court coercion to AA in the UK. I never experienced it when I was before the magistrates for Alcohol related offenses, AA was never mentioned in my case, but that is not to say court based coercion does NOT exist in the UK. But I don’t believe it is to the extent of the US…..yet

Pamphlets could be sent out to Government Ministers, Police, Judges, Local Councils, Boards of Directors of Charities which sponsor AA, Churches etc. etc

Theres a hell of a lot of information on this and other websites but its spread all over them. A pamphlet with key Anti AA arguments ought to be produced, with key information in once place and immediately accessible.

I think you have an excellent idea. The pamphlet could be updated periodically

Perhaps there could also be a selection of Anti AA videos which could be emailed together with the pamphlet, to strategic parties

I'll have to think about that. I certainly have enough material. It's just a matter of editting and condensing it down to a pamphlet.

As self appointed supreme commander of the international newcommers rescue league our growing organisation is seeking individuals to be appointed to such positions as chief of computer stuff and as such I am interviewing suitable candadets or even just a volunteer(s) to help get the afore mentioned pamplet program off the ground. Also any creative writers submissions would be gr8fully recieved. C'mon OPF people help support this worthy project.

As long as the pamphlets are given the EXACT SAME DESIGN as AA ones! ;) They will make for excellent "infiltration" into ANY and ALL stacks of "A.A. Conference-Approved" literature!

actually AA would have to redo all their stupid pamphlets, size and shape if you did that, i think the last ones i saw were created in the 50s am I right? are they hip and cool now? i think they cost 50cents

As they say in the roomz, so lets decide which ones to go for, the simpler ones would be the easyest, then we rewrite 'em, with the good advice, then we figure out how to get it so it can be downloaded & reprinted anywhere. Can't possibly be that hard can it?

Shoot me an email if you are serious.

We have the makings of an international organization that would educate the public about the current state of affairs of the AA "treatment" industry ( or, more accurately, nontreatment ) and offer some sane solutions to substance abuse.

If I am not mistaken Australia, England, Canada and the United States are represented here.

Is OP going to compensate the workers? Or do you just want someone to volunteer to create, edit and design these pamphlets and then donate their intellectual property?

Who was it that was just recently pontificating about the injustice of Bill Wilson ripping off writers and editors? Hm? All of you? Mm hm.

These should be smartly designed and devoid of hyperbole. DEVOID OF HYPERBOLE. I don't think it can be done by any AA hater on this site. And I can't wait to dig the typos and the grammatical abortions. Got any takers yet, Brett? They all say it's a good idea; doesn't even one of them want to devote time, energy, and resources for the good of a hate-inspired endeavor?

Mental masturbation. It would be discovered very quickly by most lit chairpersons, IMO. groups provide their own in most cases, and they would kow how much they bought. Too funny. You would also have to copy something so exact so as not to be noticed immedialy that it would infringe on copyright.

watch & learn trolls, ever heard of voluntary work for the community good becks, freely given? never said nuthin about leaving them at meetings clara, that 'ud be a waste of paper but dr surgerys, hospitals ect where the fellowship trawls for prospects by leaving their said pamphlets, that'd be the place to leave pamphlets containing the truth. If A.A.WS wants to fkn sue me, go ahead I've got all this gr8 stuff they can have, if they want to jail me the prison farms in aust are a pretty fair deal & I could do wid a free feed, christ knows I'm sick of working my arse off paying taxes so fkn A.A bludgers can grab their welfare checks.
This is a worrysome bit of activism for ya trolls, play it down all ya want, it's a tool that would more than do a job & serve a purpose.
