Has anybody noticed that the Orange Papers is starting to dwarf the number of posts and Internet traffic of all AA centric sites? I believe it is due to the depth and breath of the topics being discussed and the no-holds answers to questions that are often glossed over in the other AA sites. The sloganized defenses of the AA faithful are being countered with calls on their validity, something that doesn't happen on an AA true believer blog. The AA faithful are running out of slogans for responses and have limited defenses on this blog which is causing more people to come here than on the slogan based sites.
What do you guys think? I know what Google Analytic thinks............

I check the a-SS site from time to time
It's completely died a death. They are lucky if they get 5 posts, not posters, per day. I've been keeping a sort of rough survey of whose been on here while I've been on since Monday. There have been 55 different posters on the OP Forum in 4 days - not bad. And there seem to be a lot more new people joining.
God damn it, get me a whiskey

Is it all nothing but a contest to you? "A lot more new people joining" - where are they?

Yes been there seems to be a wave of new ex-AAers here, which is good IMO as long as they keep it real. :) Or keep it funny like you do.

Always happy to see new posters here! Especially if they aren't trolls. You can probably be pro-AA and not be a troll but I haven't seen it yet.

Colorado was amazing, but I'm happy to be back to a good strong internet connection and warm weather.
That weed was nuts though.
I liked being out there because I don't know any heroin dealers. I'm not really craving anymore..except for when I think about my blood tests and how messing up once or twice could ruin my life. It is a sick thing, the horrible worry makes me feel sick enough to want to use. But I haven't.

Glad you liked Colorado. I'd
Glad you liked Colorado. I'd love to be there sometime myself but am out of "snow mode" since leaving Maryland. In AA, they generally talk about geographical cures in the negtive, that people just went to other places to try drinking in a better, different way. That is what was neat about the beach. I wasn't into any kind of party drinking culture as I was in Annapolis. Fear is viewed as a negative emotion but I can see how it has a postive role in your life as to heroin. There is such a thing as healthy fear.

Hmmm Yes - we need stats - perhaps quarterly.
I ran the leading website of it's subject matter, in the world, for about 4 or 5 years...
My site was ranked at outright number one, non stop, for all that time, at the top of the list that grew to be nearly 30,000,000 returns.
And then the servers got sold... and the issues were just never ending BS of the same old, same old, corporate bullshit vs the consumer.
So I got a bit tired of it, and let it all go.
But what I created and the subject matter is now getting returns of about 90,000,000 and growing.
People are expressing their dissatisfaction and this particular corporation, is eating their own shit by the fist full, as the angry consumers shove it back down their throats.
The ONE way to keep stats on The Orange Papers as compared to the AA appoligists websites is to use one of the "web hits" type sites, that keep records of site visits:
http://www.check-tools.com/
http://www.semrush.com/
http://www.alexa.com/
etc.
A quarterly update would be good. Six monthly would be adequate.
If someone wants to compile the top 20 AA sites and say the top 50 12th step apologist sites...
Then post the stats in simple terms as a quarterly list.
The inclusion of the website names will also draw additional traffic to this site.

I think it's wonderful. I
I think it's wonderful. I just would like to believe that AAers who come here do so because they are sick of AA and want to examine the facts. However, I haven't seen that yet.
