Email addresses showing in PMs
Although the private messaging facility here states that the sender's email address will be hidden, in fact it is not. This hasn't been a problem for me so far personally, as the people I have PM-ed here are people I trust. But surely this shouldn't be happening?

Hi HS, I too noticed that email addresses come up when we send a pm. I agree that this shouldn't be happening unless it is made clear that this is the case (perhaps a notice: "FYI your email address will be visible upon sending or responding to a PM"). I haven't had a problem with this myself. There was one time that I received a pm from a person in this forum that I didn't want my addy visible to. I wanted to comment on his message but chose not to because I was aware (from experience) that he would then have access to my email address.

I was aware of this and so I use a different email address on this type of site compared to my personal one. It is a good idea to keep some privacy in your identity as it allows you be more open In your posts etc. you can get an email from gmail etc without filling in any of the name sections or address with your real details. If the email address I use on here suddenly causes me problems I can dump it and use another one without compromising my real address for home or work. I have 2 Skype logins for the same reason.

Avo - the thing is that on the PM form it specifically states that your email address will not be shown. Some of us are wise to this now, but most people won't be. (All - Avo is one of the people I explicitly trust with my real identity :) )
Mfc - So I guess that would mean setting up a new OPF account too? Whatever, it sounds like good advice. I've had my regular email address for about 7 years, and wouldn't want anything messing it up.

Can you not change the email addy that is used in the OPF? That would be easiest. Transfer that to another one, used explicitly for other agendas.
Please ORange, at least change the notice that states the personal email is not visible when pm'ing.

HS, I just checked. Click "my account", "edit", and submit a different email. As mfc said, you could make a new email without using a false name (through g-mail) and if needed abandon that addy in the future.

Always use a separate email address for the anti AA stuff
This is stirring the hornets nest with some people that are not all there, and some of them can be very dangerous.
Clara/Becket/Marietta is more entertaining with her/its assclownery, and I do not think she/it is dangerous, but we have had some experience with some dangerous people.
I am not pointing fingers, rather just suggesting people use some caution.
