Clara, can you share with the OPF

This isn't a personal attack and I'm not trying to prove a hidden point. I'm realy interested in learning how to block users on the computer.

Clara, you claimed that your husband was able to block comments from a couple of forum contributors. Can you please ask your husband how this was done OR ask him to share with us the process?

I read allegations here, patti. Allegations remain assertions without proof, until they can be proved. What does "you" and "got" have to do with anything? I got sober, so what? I was in AA at the time, so what? I have family members and friends who "got sober" with absolutely no program at all and they are fine: so what? I am not advocating for AA, I am advocating for choice.

"You are not particularly inspired to hip your self to the history & facts regarding Wilson & AA, yet you support, defend & "suggest" AA is a good spot & thing." One need not be familiar with the alleged history and the alleged "facts" of AA in order to stop drinking and maintain sobriety. I happened to be in AA. I worked the program on my own terms, quit drinking, did not get sucked into any bullshit, and left. That was in 1980. I've been sober since. Can you claim anything near the same?

My relationship with god/God is not up for discussion when the tone of the discussion is one of mockery. You flatter yourself if you believe you are in charge of what I think, say or do, sweetheart. I respond to all sorts of horseshit on this forum. You are at the end of a very long line. I see the red-flag-waving you're doing and I honestly don't have anything more to say to you. Your opinion is skewed. Oh, and by the way, one cannot be hostile and out to lunch simultaneously: one takes tremendous energy and the other none at all.

I'm not making this all about me. You are. Once - and if - you discover what "peace" really is, please very carefully deposit it, along with your know-it-all brain, where the sun don't shine. Thanks in advance.

I asked Clara if she would please communicate to me, us, the forum her feelings, thoughts & opinions regarding AA, Wilson, etc. Do I clean her side of the street? Sure of course I do. I point out to any one who lies to me that they lied & I'm aware of their lies. Also point out to any one an abuser, a situation where abuse is potential. Sure I tell the truth, I protect myself & am trying to protect others, why not? It is an AA philosophy & practice not to clean any one's side of the street, don't believe in it, don't practice it. No one is telling me, not AA, not you, not any one how I can act, what I can think, or what I feel or do is wrong. Calling a spade a spade, calling someone out on their apparent lies or anti social & crazy behavior is okay to do, might not be okay to do in AA, but it's okay in the rest of the world. The last thing Wilson wanted & AA wants is to be called out, Wilson didn't want Lois asking him about anything, you've read to the wife's chapter? You know for a fact it is completely unacceptable in AA to ask questions, question the contradictions or dogma, because then you are not minding your own business & not keeping your side of the street clean. Come on, what's wrong with explaining to the other side of the street that you aren't into their trash & garbage? Sure I'll call a spade a spade, why not? I wonder how old you are, I know you are a grown up, that your in AA is so apparent, your childish intended insults, I have a big ego. Is that supposed to somehow make me behave, think, feel or act differently. A control tactic, been through the AA control tactics. If I have an opinion, I'm judgmental, do I judge sure I do. If I call a spade a spade I have a big ego, do I write the truth, did I roll from the AA environment due to all the lies & the absence of any truth, sure I did. Do I think I am smarter than the people who stay in AA, sure I do, I have my own mind back. Am I going to say insulting things to & about you & Clara, sure I am. Am I going to clean your side of the street regardless of whatever size my ego is, sure I am. Here's a little AA history for you, want to communicate regarding a big ego, Wilson, now there was a big, deranged, out of control ego, a destructive control freak.

It's bad for your recovery. I know, I know, it starts with a few shots of Sherry in your Crab Bisque, then before you know it you are going to holy communion several times a week. Sneaking chocolate mousse with a few shots of brandy late at night. It's a progressive disease you know..... Wouldn't you be happier just chasing after fresh young prospects in jails and prisons? Maybe even hit a few rehabs..

Let's take your numerous poetry efforts directed at me. They became increasingly vulgar and while this might bother some and certainly were flaming despite Orange's R&Rs, I wonder how many lurkers decided that OPF isn't for them because of them. Then you add another's posters manic posts, and stir in some stalker behavior... Is it any wonder that the sum total of regular posters is so small? Personalities before princibles. It works better in the reverse.

But I'll tell you what... When a 22 year old girl just said the very same thing about her life that Clancy says in his message, that means something to me. I'll keep paying attention.

Not at all, C&E. In fact, I spoke with the gf this evening at our AA conferance call, and she told me if I was saying something about her that was to be helpful, it was fine with her. You posted a series of posts with no relationship to the threads so of course they would appear out of context. The abuse share was because we were talking about foregiveness therapy. I included her additional experiences because she too didn't come to AA for booze, just as many of the women on this forum, and they felt unwanted or unwelcome because of the singleness of purpose. The hep reference was to instill some hope in Ironic when she was concerned over her hep tests and the possible impact it could have on her relationship. I was just reading that thread and we were all concerned and friendly. It's amazing how we CAN be when we remove the personalities.

Despite that they don't object but you did, I deleted their names. I would think you would be glad. Why not?

Then you surely cannot put the blame on me for wanting attention, now can you? I am far from ashamed and I discussed it with the party, who also felt there was nothing wrong with it. But you did, so I cooperated, even if I didn't remove the posts. You should have lots of links. I post here very regularly, but I have to admit that I thought it was pretty obsessive that people would screenshot posts from the day I started. I am not that paranoid nor am I really all that important.

I know people might suggest that I am in it for the attention, but I am not the one that creates it. You prove me right regularly.

We actually were working toward OPF becoming a different, more friendly type of forum. I can see that isn't what you want. I was reading an older thread today and everyone was on topic, getting along, demonstrating some real concern. It's a shame that OPF has become the morass it has, but it wouldn't be any different, I suppose, since it happened at RFR, too. I wasn't in on that, so I really cannot say. I just go by what others have said.

I have often said that if I had the experiences these people had, I would be on the same side. Mine were different, in a different place and time, and I don't think I would have found the same thing here. I've said that, too.

That I made some changes doesn't show growth to you. You view it as someone trying to cover a lie. I view it as seeing something from someone else's POV. So if the posts end up back on the board, it is that party's determination to "out" a person, not mine. I tried to correct a perceived wrong.

My husband has always known that I post here, Gunthar, and you know that. What would be different about today? I simply came to see that a compromise with C&E was beneficial and I attempted to correct a perceived wrong. I also spoke with my GF and she didn't mind my shares because she knew it was to help and weren't malicious. I have hundreds of posts on OPF. I simply removed her name but not her message. Anyone can see from the hatchet job created that the posts are taken out of context and are supposed to be.

It was interesting as I went back to them to see all of the people that aren't posting here anymore. When I made contact, it wasn't put just at my door. It was because of the mess this board has become for a number of reasons. I've asked people not to focus on me, and they realize that. I also came to see that I miss Penny. Wisdom and wit are great things, especially to an insomniac like me!
