I rather like this idea of Clara as the surrendered wife, who, as “Vince’s” third AA wife, will allow her husband to tell her what she can and can’t read on a forum she devotes her life to, without her having any say in the matter.

I also don’t believe a word of it, as Clara is somewhat less than rigorously honest (for example, declaring at one point that she no longer attends AA meetings and then later protesting that she absolutely does). She is clearly using this pretence of blocking people’s comments as an excuse not to reply to anyone who calls her on her bullshit.

There is another possibility, however, which is that this wonderful controlling and 13th-stepping husband is actually a figment of Clara’s fevered imagination. Does the wonderful Mr Clara really exist, or is he a fantasy figure? Do they really start every morning with readings from AA texts, which makes up for her having left AA? Was the ex-wife really the evil scheming drunkard (spied on by Mr Clara) that Clara makes her out to be? None of this sounds very much like the way any normal people would run their lives, and more like some kind of masturbatory nightmare.

Just my take on the situation. And don’t worry if I’ve gone too far, everyone. Apparently Clara – ex-AA member and narcissist extraordinaire - won’t be reading this, as Mr Clara is apparently censoring what she can and can’t read. (But if you’re reading this, Mr Clara, and you do exist – hello and welcome!)

What the fuck does any of that matter, "humanspirit"? And what made you choose that for your handle here? A misnomer if there ever was one. Or maybe you're just selective in your "humanspirit" endowments - some get the kid gloves and others get the brass knuckles? That teeters on the edge of intolerance - no, that actually is a perfect example of active intolerance.

If Brett's looking for a liar, maybe your misrepresentation of yourself can take his focus off Clara for three seconds, even though it must be very difficult to distract a Cro-Magnon.

But I wouldn't be so polite about it. "Total scumbag sexist bastard" sounds a bit better to my ears. If Clara's story is true (which, as always with Clara, is difficult to determine) I even feel a bit sorry for her. I suspect AA wife #4 might be on the horizon.

Apparently neither Clara nor Mr Clara is going to share with us how they managed to block posts from people who disagree with them.

Now, why am I somehow not surprised by this?

Caveat Emptor: Cannot actually "block users on the computer". Sort of like watching HLN (or ITN) versus CNN (or BBC). Sort of like a DVR of a show and editing/skipping out/over the commercials. It is worth the trouble? Dunno.

By the end of the day the whole screen is covered with Tipex.
