Can a hardened drinker\'s (lets say a 6 beer bingers) brain ever recover from the excesses of alcohol?
Fri, 04/27/2012 - 11:28
lol, lol, lol!!! It doesn\'t appear that the particular brain in question has ever recovered from much of anything & brain damage does appear to be present! lol, I can\'t stop laughing over this \"excessive\" drinking, a wet brain for sure!

Interesting attitude out of such a \"new\" person, Patti. Aside from having a different history than yours, why is there a need to be so personal? Not the behavior of a recovered person.

I barely post here, if at all, but I am glad that orange has a forum up. I don\\\'t know anybody\\\'s history except my own and I think your response to Patti was great. No need to attack people. I would like to think of this place as a soft place to land sort of, where one could ask questions and still have some fun. Good for you Clara, on being you.

Oh, you know, when you have a 2 glass of wine a day habit, 6 beers could take a whole weekend to drink!

They may not have a disease but it\'s telling them they have a disease.
Fri, 04/27/2012 - 16:37
is a symptom of a disease, is a carton a symptom of an epidemic? fk whats a keg - a genocide?

I couldnt drink six beers, I\'d puke everywhere.
Six bags of heroin though? I\'d get through that in a couple hours, if I was being conservative :)

It is easier to see Clara\'s viewpoint on \"why AA worked for me\" (her) when you find out that to Clara, six beers was a night of heavy partying.
Sat, 04/28/2012 - 17:36
I didn\'t say that is what I drank, Ironic. It would be a binge for me now. It\'s just interesting to see how much people will run with such a small post. I used to drink 5 or 6 GMs when I drank, and how much that was depends on who was serving. And, yes, it put me under the bus.
Sat, 04/28/2012 - 18:30
A 6 beer binge still remains a 6 beer binge, 6 bloody beer binge rolmao

Grand Marnier. I adore it. But, again. Why give someone a hard time over the amount they drank? Or tell them that they weren\'t an alcoholic? That doesn\'t seem any more right.
Sat, 04/28/2012 - 22:54
to tell you you\'ve been miss diagnosed, I thought you\'d be grateful to discover you\'re not suffering from a terminal disease, just a bit of 6 pakittus, 6 bloody beer binge lol of course your not an alcoholic lol you can just let it go now, you\'re a normie, 6 beer binge rolmao

In the interests of helping the newcomer why not tell us about the rock bottom your 6 beer bender took you to? What seedy places did you seek out? How many jobs did you lose? How did you deal with homelessness? How did you deal with having no money, no friends, nothing? Remember - your primary purpose is to help the alcoholic who still suffers.
The ability to judge whether someone is an alcoholic or not is something I learned exclusively from AA. If anyone stopped going to meetings and didn\\\'t start drinking again they were labelled \\\"not a real alcoholic\\\". Standard AA practice.
6 Grand Marniers is not a binge, its a line in a cooking recipe...lol
God damn it, get me a whiskey

Me, I wanna hear about the compulsion, the drive, the I couldn\'t stop at one, I had to have the whole 6 pak story, I had to binge. 6 bloody beer binge, my arse.
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 11:05
If six Grand Marniers at a pop were causing Clara problems, it would be her prerogative to call that her \\\"bottom\\\", not yours, not Brett\\\'s, not anyone else\\\'s. This isn\\\'t a contest to see who did the most dope or drank the most rotgut.
\\\"The ability to judge whether someone is an alcoholic or not is something I learned exclusively from AA.\\\" You have neither the ability nor the authority to \\\"judge\\\" whether someone is alcoholic or not. What self-importance!

is now morphing into 6 grand marniers, still lmao, of course I can tell if someone is alcoholic or not, what kind of an fkn idiot are you that ya can\'t, fer fks sake, & I\'m telling ya 6 beer bingers aren\'t in the running, If she really wants an alcoholic title I most certainly would suggest more field research. 6 bloody beer binge, fk off ya pretenders.
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 11:31
You\'re a crass, vulgar man, Brett. Guess you take a lot of \"pride\" in that. Since you seem to want the crown so bad, take it - it\'s yours. Brett is the MOST alcoholic person on the forum, having drunk the MOST rotgut, having puked the MOST rancid stomach contents, having accumulated the MOST DUIs of anyone here, etc., etc., etc., blah, blah, blah, ad nauseam, in perpetuity. Fk off, King Sot.
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 11:42
you wouldn\'t know, I\'ll ask you once again, how the fk would you know what kind of bloke I am, especialy what makes you think I\'m an alcoholic, ya aint phyic ya another pretender.

1. You have been conned by a coven of Bill Wilson chanters to join the coven.
2. You seek out other people to join the coven of Alcoholics Anonymous.
3. You post, act, talk like and have online flurries like Danny B of Elam fame.
"Tradition 10 - Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy." Please follow orders from the Interchurch Center if you are an AA member and don't comment.
Sat, 04/28/2012 - 17:22
A 6 beer binge is a hangover cure, 6 beer binge lol.
Sat, 04/28/2012 - 19:16
Brett, what if the person drank six beers every hour for 20 hours a day for three days in a row. Would you consider that a pretty good start on a bender?
Sat, 04/28/2012 - 19:26
is just a 6 beer bender, 6 beer bender, 6 bloody beer binge lol, not a binge, not a bender, not an alcoholic, just a pretender lol, pretty much like yourself, get a job ya bludger.
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 10:56
That\'s my boy. Don\'t read the comment, just spew bullshit back at it. Good job, Brett.
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 00:47
pour me , pour me, pour me a drink...remember that stupid AA saying?
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 10:58
You got it wrong, massive. The point of the phrase is self-pity, as in \"Poor me. Poor me. Pour me a drink.\" Self-pity inspires some drunks to drink.
I\'m sure you will still think it\'s stupid, but it\'s always a good practice to know just what it is we think is stupid.
Sun, 04/29/2012 - 00:59
poor me,pour me a drink, ya wouldn\'t have to say it to many times & ya 6 beers \'ud be gone. 6 bloody beer binge rolmao
