Can a hardened drinker\'s (lets say a 6 beer bingers) brain ever recover from the excesses of alcohol?

lol, lol, lol!!! It doesn\'t appear that the particular brain in question has ever recovered from much of anything & brain damage does appear to be present! lol, I can\'t stop laughing over this \"excessive\" drinking, a wet brain for sure!

I barely post here, if at all, but I am glad that orange has a forum up. I don\\\'t know anybody\\\'s history except my own and I think your response to Patti was great. No need to attack people. I didn\'t say that is what I drank, Ironic. It would be a binge for me now. It\'s just interesting to see how much people will run with such a small post. I used to drink 5 or 6 GMs when I drank, and how much that was depends on who was serving. And, yes, it put me under the bus.

In the interests of helping the newcomer why not tell us about the rock bottom your 6 beer bender took you to? What seedy places did you seek out? How many jobs did you lose? How did you deal with homelessness? How did you deal with having no money, no friends, nothing? Remember - your primary purpose is to help the alcoholic who still suffers.

The ability to judge whether someone is an alcoholic or not is something I learned exclusively from AA. If anyone stopped going to meetings and didn\\\'t start drinking again they were labelled \\\"not a real alcoholic\\\". Standard AA practice.

6 Grand Marniers is not a binge, its a line in a cooking recipe...lol
