This is just a personal opinion, but I am getting severely pissed off with the trolls on here. They are going to kill off this forum if something isn't done about them. Trolls, like any other cancer, are best disposed of quickly.
This forum was great fun and was really starting to grow until the trolls arrived. Clara and Danny are currently ruining this forum. What does everyone else think?

Jonni says 'Ben, I am not
Jonni says 'Ben, I am not trying to deny that AA has a bunch of sickos, Ive seen it for myself.'
So we agree there are sickos in AA. The difference is some of us find it unacceptable, some don't see a problem with mixing a bunch of sickos with minors. I do. As adults we have a responsibility to protect children, not throw them to the wolves. We are failing our children when it comes to AA. I plan to continue to bring awareness to it.

Absolutely Anti D.
It is completely unnacceptable to throw minors in with adults that are alcoholics and druggies when the numbers show how many have a history of felonies, sexual abuse, and mental problems. Tot top it off, there is nobody watching over the relationships either. Insanity. Pure and sick injustice.
And it doesn't even help addiction, so the ones that aren't getting hurt aren't getting any benefit either. Just like adults their getting thrown into a religion and told they are diseased. It's negative. Nothing to gain. The only ones benefiting are the greedy money makers and theives and sexual predators and controlling sponsors, and the religious fanatics.

Would some of the troll comments posted on this forum be tolerated at a "real" AA open meeting. Probably not. Maybe they tried to, or couldn't dream to, or wouldn't dare to. Exiles and expats, who knows? So they're here now. Does it matter and what if it did? This may be the ultimate "non" AA open meeting. The minority opinion rocks. Bang on.

Just another bit of AA in
Just another bit of AA in media today, check this out. Here, it's at the bottom of the page. I heard this particular bit about AA on the radio today, but couldn't stick around for the whole interview (and I don't think he went back to AA as a topic, but have no time right now to check:

Amanda Kueht: Getting too close, cops say
A West U substance-abuse counselor has been charged with having sex with a 16-year-old male patient.
Amanda Leann Kueht, 28, and the male were discovered by a West U cop a little after midnight July 25 in the back seat of a car in a church parking lot. They were partially dressed.
In court documents, the cop says the male said he had been a patient of Kueht's for about a year and had begun a sexual relationship with her about two weeks prior to the chuch-lot sex.
The kid was pretty forthcoming, according to the cop. He said Kueht had given him a blow job in the parking lot of his apartment complex, and he let it fly:
"He stated that he ejaculated on the defendant's face, breasts and stomach," which sounds like a whole lot of ejaculating.
He also said they had had sex during a counseling retreat in Idaho.
"The complainant further told [me] of numerous other sexual encounters" during the Idaho trip, and we're betting he didn't spare the details, although the cop does.
Kueht is listed as a managing counselor for Cornerstone Recovery in West U. A doctor there told Hair Balls she was unaware of the arrest; she said the attorney handling the matter for the Cornerstone board had advised her not to comment because the case was under investigation.
Kueht's bio says "She is completely dedicated to helping adolescents and their families recover. Mandy takes pride in being organized and dependable. Over time it has become apparent that she has a passion and enthusiasm for the 12 steps and helping others, as well as her own spiritual and mental growth."
She faces a felony charge of sex with a minor under 17. Bond has been set at $30,000.

So, that article didn't mention AA and was covering it up.
This one does:
"According to police, the counselor and her patient had attended an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting on a July night after which they went 'parking.' When police arrived, the whole alleged relationship began to unravel. "
